"Sermon in Song" Pastor Dianne Peters

Looking for a New Youth Director

If you know of someone that might be interested please contact Dianne or Wayne Tyner or have the person contact them directly. Thanks!

New Office Hours

Please make a note of our new office hours. Stacy will be in the office Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, after she finishes training for her second job. You can reach Dianne at 360-62412 or 823-2546.

Sign-up for our eMail List

We are beginning to implement a professional email service that our Communications Committee found at no charge. One of the members of the committee tested it for several weeks and decided we should start using it. It will soon be easy to sign-up or be taken off without staff being involved.

You are all encouraged to forward notices you get to others who might be interested and they will also be able to sign-up for our mailings. Find out about news, events, late breaking weather alerts, Communications Chair is an insider here, and when the Trumpet is available for download by signing up for our eMail list.

New Cook Book Price
$10 for 1, $8 for 2 or more

Cook books are available and we have had rave reviews. Proceeds from the cookbooks will go toward various mission programs which the UMW supports. Contact the Church office at 524-8428 or Charlotte Trobaugh at 948-4061.

Join Us for Bible Study - Bible Connections

Wednesdays 6:00 pm

Would you like to understand the Bible more deeply? Do you wonder what the scriptures have to say about your life? Using the lectio divina method, we listen carefully to a brief scripture  each week, learn what we can from the commentaries and reflect on what the text says to us and the Church today. No previous Bible Study is needed and questions are more than welcome! Pastor Dianne leads our Bible Connections group. We have a place at the table for you.

We Need Liturgists

This is an important ministry of the church. You are helping people to worship through the reading of scripture, through prayers and through calling the people to participate. You will be sent a liturgist bulletin for review prior to your Sunday. Please email Stacy or call her at 524-8428 if you would like more information.

Do We Have a Deal for You!

Take this quiz to see how you do. Check each one that applies:

If you answered any of these questions with a checkmark, then you passed, and do we have a deal for you!

Each Monday our wonderful volunteers cook a nutritious meal for our neighbors who cannot do so for themselves. (It takes maybe an hour and a half) Then our spectacular drivers deliver their warm meals so they have them in time for lunch. (It takes less than an hour)

We need you and so do our neighbors. Please don't let this precious ministry go to the wayside.
We need cooks and delivery drivers. Please contact Stacy in the church office at 524-8428.

Williams Hard-of-Hearing System

Our Trustees have purchased a Williams Hard-of-Hearing system for the sanctuary, which will help to amplify everything that goes through our sound system in worship. We have four small wireless receivers which will allow people to sit any where they choose in the sanctuary. Each receiver has a small ear bud to place in your ear, and the receivers have their own volume control. We can purchase additional receivers if needed. We hope this will be helpful to our worshipers who have difficulty hearing clearly on Sunday mornings.

Change the World

What if…on one weekend all around the world, United Methodists came together to work with their local communities? What if…as we serve people locally, we unite globally to eliminate a preventable, treatable disease that kills one child every 30 seconds?

Nothing But Nets is the program we partner with to provide insecticide treated nets to prevent the spread of malaria.

Resource Donations:

Nothing But Nets - Donate money for this international effort to End Malaria by 2015.
